She Suite
Creating a serene, heady bedroom suite for a super sweet, lovely client provided our team with a cheering task amidst all of 2020’s madness. It became a delightful distraction that was much appreciated. The home itself is a compound-like, 1920’s Spanish in the heart of West Hollywood that had seen a flurry of remodels over the last twenty years.
With a modernized master bedroom and bathroom that felt starkly arid in a way that simply didn’t befit a Los Angeles Spanish nor our spirited client, we strove to fill it with a touch more soul. Beyond that, the primary design objective was to artfully assemble an inspired and intimate space to retreat from the chaos of the day (err, year): a private en suite that felt all at once structured and free-flowing, elegant and comfortably casual, subdued and cheerfully hued. You know, a pretty place where a girl could kick off her heels and really soak in the surroundings.
