Revived Rowhouse

With so many California interiors in our portfolio, we were thrilled to take things bi-coastal and conquer a classic brownstone. We channeled traditional with a twist for the young couple who calls this historic Alexandria, Virginia dwelling home.

Living Room

Thanks to generously sized bay windows, this residence has no shortage of sunshine. We painted an accent wall a moody charcoal to balance the brightness from both outside and in. A mix of feminine and masculine elements play to the sensibilities of husband and wife while plenty of accessories let the decor feel collected. Making the most of an oddly shaped floor plan, we added a reading nook that doubles as seating for the clients' commonplace cocktail parties.

Reading Nook

This residence took on a softer palate than some of our Los Angeles interiors, working with dolphin blues and grays, pops of pastel pinks and numerous abstract paintings against a wash of neutrals and pastels. Through a careful balance of contemporary comfort and vintage style, we created an inviting retreat for these clients to escape the workday demands of D.C.
